Invite a speaker on Proportional Representation

We’re offering speakers to all community, political, or civil society meetings to explain why we need Proportional Representation - and how we’re going to get it.

Why invite a speaker to a meeting of my group or organisation?

Hosting an external speaker is a great way to get informed, start a debate, and find out what members of your group think about electoral reform. It’s also a great way to invite those who support PR to get active in the campaign.

What groups do MVM speakers speak at?

Groups that we speak to include, but are not limited to:

  • Political parties
  • Civil society groups
  • Campaign organisations
  • Religious and community groups
  • Rotary clubs
  • Youth groups
  • And many more…

For Labour Party and affiliated union meetings, we work with Labour for a New Democracy on a separate dedicated speaker programme. Find out more.

Will it cost anything?

We appreciate contributions towards any travel costs incurred by your speaker – but we will endeavour to provide a speaker even if this is not possible.

Do you provide services globally?

Our speakers are primarily volunteer activists in the movement for Proportional Representation. All speakers have undergone training and will be able to give you a great summary of the case for equal votes and how we’re campaigning to achieve them.
